D Tire Rule for 2013  For UMP Modifieds and UMP Street Stocks

Opening Night thru May 1—D’s, A’s and H’s will be allowed on all four wheels

After May 1st thru May 31st—Only A’s or H’s will be allowed on Right Rear. No D’s on Right rear. Left Rear and both fronts D’s, A’s, or H’s will be allowed.

After May 31st—–Only A’s or H’s will be allowed on Right Rear and Left Rear. No D’s will be allowed on rear of car. D’s, A’s, or H’s will be allowed on fronts until further notice.

We are attempting to make it better for our racers and also attempting to let the racers use up any extra D tires they may have.

LINCOLN SPEEDWAY ANNOUNCES MIDWEST BIG TEN SERIES

LATE MODEL SHOWDOWN

Lincoln Speedway together with Jacksonville Speedway and Macon Speedway will present this year’s “Midwest Big Ten Series”. The three tracks will rotate hosting the ten big race events.

Each of the ten races will include larger winnings to the winner of the feature. At the end of the season the points each driver has accumulated in those 10 races will be totaled and there will be $5,000 distributed throughout the top ten Late Models with the top point fund winner taking home another $2,000!

We wanted to bring more Late Model shows to Lincoln this year. By working with Jacksonville and Macon we can offer the racers a quality series at an affordable price for the fans.

Along with the” Midwest Big Ten Series” Lincoln’s schedule this year is filled with a variety of special shows including 410 Non-Wing Sprints, 410 Wing Sprints, two – Powri Shows, two -Vintage Races, two – 305 Wing Sprints, two – Non-Wing Lighting Sprints, a Modified Topless, a Street Stock Special, $1,000 to win Pro Late Model special and this year’s BRANDT TWIN 60’s SUMMER NATIONALS!

Brandt Twin 60s Summer Nationals

BRANDT TWIN 60′s celebrating 60 years in the Ag-Chem Industry
Brandt Consolidated Inc. out of Springfield, Il will be sponsoring the twin 60′s
summer nationals races at Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Il.Sunday June 30,2013.
There will only be 2 classes running for this event.

The Ump Late Models will be running 60 laps for $10,000 to win and $500 to start.
The Ump Modifieds will be running 60 laps for $2,000 to win and $150 to start.

2013 Pro Late Models Notice

To all DIRTcar Pro Late Model drivers and teams,

For the 2013 season we will require that all Pro late Model engines be sealed either with the General Motors original seal or with a approved UMP DIRTcar seal. The cost will be $325.00 per motor.This will include 5 seals and everything else needed to tear down and check you engine as well as putting it back together. In the event the motor builder finds issue’s with your motor, The cost for repairing the motor will be between you and the motor builder. I have spoken with the people at Fastrak Racing Series and Nesmith Racing Series and both have agreed to recognize our DIRTcar seal and in turn we will also recognize their seals.

Below will be a list of certified people that you can contact to have your motor sealed. These will be the only people that will have our seals, so do not take it to someone else and ask them to work on your motor and then call and ask me for seals. It has to be one of the people listed below.

This will be a mandatory rule for the 2013 and everyone will be required to have their motor’s sealed. It does not matter if you are a member or not. If you are caught without a sealed motor after one time, You will not be allowed to race at any DIRTcar sanctioned track until your motor has been sealed. If a track allows you to continue racing without a sealed motor, that track could lose their sanction.

In closing I would like thank everyone in advance for their support and help in implementing this change. We want this class to grow and it is crucial for these motors to be legal for that to happen.

See You Next Year

We have enjoyed this past racing season with all of our drivers and friends.  We are looking forward to the 2013 racing season. Please watch the website for all news updates. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the banquet November 10. The times will be posted at a later date. The track telephone line – 217-735-1833 has been put on vacation mode for the winter, we will have it back on sometime in March 2013. As always you can contact us or Marty with any questions. We wish our season didn’t have to end so soon, that is why we have some new ideas in place for the 2013 racing season.  Everyone be safe and enjoy this fall weather. See you soon!
